Description
They watch Riley on a huge oval screen here, in the center of her consciousness, a cleverly designed, maze-like space that's equal parts industrial zone and carnival, as though they were parked behind her eyes. They use a control console, which resembles a sound mixing board and becomes more intricate as she gets older, to monitor, control, and occasionally interfere with her thoughts and behavior. By the time the first film concludes, a new, enigmatic button named "puberty" has appeared on the console; shortly after the second film opens, that button changes into a red alarm that screams. Riley in "Inside Out 2," most of it predictable and some really moving. Nearly ten years have passed since the debut of the film.
